First and foremost I want to personally thank Mat (Mat1600) for designing these adjusters and allowing me to vet and review his engineering masterpiece for the hooligans at large. I am honored to provide the assessment on his behalf. I choose to post this review in the lounge to garner the most exposure even though it is more suited for the performance mods or accessories category.

My first impression of the adjusters after opening the package was quality. These are designed and made extremely well. As the Brits would say, they are brilliant!! The adjusters mount without hardship, the process was very intuitive (he did not provide me with instructions on purpose), and make adjusting the belt heavenly. As a side note, the chrome swing arm covers and the adjusters are compatible. The whole process took two hours from start to finish. There is one caveat to the time however, I have gotten good at removing and reinstalling the back wheel so your time results may very... Due to inclement weather I have not ridden the bike after I mounted the adjusters. It has been raining almost nonstop for three days straight. I will report back when the rains cease. However, I adjusted the belt with the bike on the jack idling in sixth gear, which gives the tire speed of about 25 mph, give or take. That said, there weren't any weird noises, shakes, or vibrations. Aside from going through the motions of a test ride I think it is safe to say these adjusters are definitely ready for market.

Below are many pictures of the process with captions as to what is going on. Pay close attention to the captions.

These are the adjusters, sorry for the blur

Ok. so this is the first time i have heard from you on the results. Thanks for being a test case. ........ and i need to add, I had a few people that would have liked to test them for me , but I chose Chris as he was the first to try out my Bearing conversion. Having had the set tested I am happy to send the sets out.

Big thanks to Chris.

PS - Although a certain fitting tool will be provided with each set - the Beer will have to be purchased separately.

Mat...from what i can see i think it does, but does this eliminate the up/down play of the screw where it goes thru the swingarm on the left adjuster? Correct me if i'm wrong, but is this how it works....the round part on the outside of the arm screws into the round part with one flat side on the inside of the arm. The inside of those parts is threaded so they IN EFFECT act like the swingarm hole is threaded for the screw. The nut simply locks the screw from moving. If this is right, then yes, the up/down motion of the screw within the arm hole is eliminated, and i can see how this would be worlds better ! So when ya making batch #2 ?

They are no problem. It took Chris two hours to do, but I notice there was beer involved so maybe only one hour if no beer.

Ok - These things are going to be around the £60 mark per set. Shipping will be around £10 to overseas and around £5 to Uk. I havn't got all the prices in yet from various people but its going to be no more than that price.

If you want a set then PM me with your address and I shall try and get my Paypal account sorted (never used it so any heads up on that would be helpful).

My e-mail is in my profile.

The people that gave interest and asked for a set are listed in my book so I know who to serve first. Once I know all these that I have will be sold then I shall get on with the next batch.

Thanks everyone for your patience and comments.

As promised, I said I would get back as soon as I had an opportunity to test ride the bike with the new adjusters. I rode into work this morning, a fifteen mile trip, up to ninety five mph without so much as a quiver or belt squeak. Mat, without a shadow of a doubt, they are good to go. When are you going to outsource them to China? Sorry, couldn't resist...

That is what General Motors does here... They get all their stuff made in Mexico then assemble it in the U.S. and call it American made. Then they tell us in their advertisements that Chevy runs deep. Yes deep, deep into the southern part of North America...

Mat, The current occupant of the White House is in desperate need of some "new Jobs" to bolster chances of re-election. Any chance you could have those adjusters made here in the US so he could pretend to have created a few jobs? There could be a bail-out in it for you!!

Might send him a set to see if he is interested, but I don't think its going to be a big volume seller after the initial rush.

Don't sell yourself short. Unless Triumph redesigns the belt tensioner themselves on future models, there will continue to be a market for these.

Hmm.... There's an idea. Sell the design to Triumph.
