| Posted : 11 Sep 2014 - 19:50 Post title : Cleaning the fins on the jugs | | Okay - so I'm not a detailer. I wipe down my Storm after most rides, but only really wash it once or twice a year.
I've got the new FastEddy header clamps, and now the fins on my engine stick out like a sore thumb. Tried using some 0000 steel wool, and that is a pain in the arse. What do you all use to get the grime (old or new) off your engine's cooling fins, etc.

| Posted : 11 Sep 2014 - 22:47 Post title : Re: Cleaning the fins on the jugs (Re: bnz433) | | Try a small wire brush to get into the tight areas on the fins.But to be honest with ya,time starts the day you get the machine,or anything else for that matter.Ya clean it on a regular basis and things like dirty fins won't happen.If you can get into that habbit,and ya really don't have to be that fussy,you'll be surprised at how nice it'll look.Even at the mileage I have and the four plus years I've owned mine,she still looks new and I get a lot of compliments on it.
